Christmas ornaments are adornments (usually made from glass, metal, wood or ceramics) that are utilized to festoon a Christmas tree. Ornaments take a variety of forms, from the simple round ball to highly artistic designs. Ornaments are nearly always used again every year, instead of bought yearly, and family collections frequently contain a mix of in a commercial sense created ornaments and adornments produced by family people. Such collections are frequently handed down and augmented from one generation to another.
